Steam system that heats campus buildings to be off-line to accommodate repair over the weekend

The steam system that serves 13 state office buildings on the Capitol Campus will be taken off-line from 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17 so that urgent repairs can be made to a steam leak in the John A. Cherberg building. The steam system provides heat as well as hot water to the buildings.

The entire system must be taken off-line whenever a repair to a specific building is made. Since the system must be shut down, Enterprise Services will take the opportunity to make additional non-urgent repairs and perform maintenance that requires the system to be off-line.
