The 14th Ave. tunnel that serves as a primary route to the Capitol Campus from Interstate 5 will be closed Dec. 16 and 17 for maintenance. It will reopen on the evening of Dec. 17.

Detour signs will be in place and a flagger will direct traffic. While the 14th Ave. entrance to employee parking in the Plaza Garage will be closed, all other entrances will be open to state employees. Vendors who need access to the service level of Office Building 2 (OB-2) will be granted access individually by traffic control.

Alternate routes will be available between I-5 and the Capitol Campus. When travelling west, drivers can take Jefferson Street northbound and turn left on 11th Ave., or take Jefferson Street southbound and turn right on Maple Park Ave. to access the campus. When travelling east, drivers can take Capitol Way S. northbound and take a right on 11th Ave. and then a right on Jefferson St., or take Capitol Way S. southbound and take a right on Maple Park Ave. and then a left on Jefferson St. to access I-5.
