Capitol Campus Maintenance and Operations

The Department of Enterprise Services is responsible for the stewardship, preservation, operation and maintenance of the state 468-acre Capitol Campus, which includes the Capitol, legislative and judicial buildings, the Governor's mansion, 15 state agency office buildings, Capitol Lake, and our campus parks (Centennial, Heritage, Marathon, Sylvester, and the Interpretive Center). We take our role very seriously, and are proud to serve as stewards of the state capitol buildings and grounds for those who work on the campus and the thousands who visit the campus each year.

As we fulfill these responsibilities through state and contracted resources, we are committed to ensuring public safety and maintaining the highest standard of care expected on the campus.

How you can help

We are always working to improve our services on the campus, and to make them more efficient and effective. Your opinions and feedback are important for informing our efforts at ongoing improvement. Please email feedback to bgmail@des.wa.gov.

If you observe any conditions or activities on the campus that appear unsafe, please call our Buildings and Grounds Work Management Center at (360) 725-0000. This is for non-emergencies only.

Report emergencies requiring law enforcement, fire protection, or medical emergencies to 9-1-1.
