Capitol Lake/Lower Deschutes Watershed workgroup to review draft report on long-term management at Oct. 28 meeting

The Capitol Lake/Lower Deschutes Watershed executive workgroup will hold its next regular monthly meeting from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28 at the 1500 Jefferson Street building in Olympia.

Meeting topics include:

  • A second review of the relative comparison of costs of various management options, with an overview of community input.
  • A review of the draft Proviso Report and an overview of the feedback from the technical committee.

The 2015 Legislature directed Enterprise Services to make progress on reaching agreement about the long-term management of Capitol Lake. The Legislative directive included a requirement that the department prepare a report summarizing the progress made in 2016.

The draft report is now available for review on the Capitol Lake website.

Comments about the report should be limited to factual inaccuracies or subjects that have not previously been reviewed during Phase 1 and are due by Nov. 3. Send your comments to: DESCapitolLake@des.wa.gov.

Enterprise Services oversees the 260-acre reservoir known as Capitol Lake as part of the 486-acre Capitol Campus.
