Work to remove a failing red alder tree and dead wood from surrounding trees near the S.W. corner of Centennial Park will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13. The removal of the dead wood will improve safety and the overall health of the tree grove.

The work area will be cordoned off for safety. Tenants of nearby buildings and park visitors can expect to hear the noise of chainsaws and a chipper.
