Safety measures continue on Capitol Campus

In the coming days, the Department of Enterprise Services anticipates that several non-permitted events may take place on the Capitol Campus.

For public safety reasons, road and trail closures will continue until further notice. The purpose of the closures is to keep people safe, not to keep people out. Measures such as road closures and vehicle barricades support people's ability to peacefully assemble and express their freedom of speech without the concern of vehicles impacting their activity. These measures also preserve 24/7 emergency vehicle access.

While safety measures are still being taken, in compliance with the status on allowed gatherings in the phased reopening plan for Washington State, DES is not issuing permits for Capitol Campus events at this time.
