Spraying water shuts down Tivoli Fountain

September 18, 2012

Capitol Campus Update

Tivoli Fountain turned itself off Sept. 17 when a pipe burst in the pump house, spraying water on to electrical equipment. Enterprise Services turned on the heat in the pump room to dry out the electrical components. It will take another day or two to determine if repairs are needed beyond fixing the broken pipe. The fountain will be shut down for at least the next few days.

The fountain will be shut down for the winter season on Oct. 1.
