Utility work on Sid Snyder Way continues March 20

On Thursday, March 20, engineers under contract with the Department of Enterprise Services will continue an in-depth survey of underground utilities beneath Sid Snyder Way on the West Capitol Campus.

The work is in preparation for a summertime construction project that will replace old, failing utilities under the road.

Sid Snyder Way will be open to traffic and parking during the work, but drivers can expect some brief delays. Flaggers will be on site to manage traffic.

A large vacuum truck will be used to assist with the excavation work, creating noise throughout the day.

The upcoming summer construction will require full closure of Sid Snyder Avenue for up to two months. The project is tentatively scheduled to begin in July.
