Water leak investigation June 10-26 at Highway-Licenses, OB2

Workers on swing staging will be spraying water and dye above the south entrance of Office Building 2 as part of an effort to find the source of where rain water is leaking into the building. The same work will also be done at the Highways-Licenses building.

The project gets underway about 7 a.m. June 10 when workers set-up swing staging at both buildings. Scaffolding will be erected above the south entrance of Office Building 2.

All evacuation routes will be open during this project at both buildings.

The contractor – Wetherholt and Associates, Inc. of Olympia – will begin spraying water on the exterior west wall of the Highways-Licenses building on June 12. The work will begin around 7 a.m. and stop around 4:30 p.m.

The water leak investigation begins at Office Building 2 at 7 a.m. June 17. Overhead protection will be in place so the south entrance of the building will remain open while the work is going on up above. The contractor will also be accessing various interior locations as part of the leak investigation.

The project is scheduled to be complete by June 26.

Enterprise Services will develop a leak repair plan once it receives the leak investigation report.
