Leading Teams (3 Days & eLearnings)

Leading Teams is specifically designed for middle managers and those who manage supervisors who have gone through Leading Others. This course focuses on individual leaders by increasing their emotional intelligence to lead and influence people and teams they are responsible to manage. As a leader of teams and other leaders, this course will increase your competence and confidence to lead and support a collaborative and inclusive team environment, focusing on the people and the results.

This course also meets the WAC requirement for new supervisors to attend 24 hours of instruction (WAC Chapter 357-34). To receive credit for completing this course, please plan to attend all 24 hours of classroom instruction AND complete the requirements in the Learner Checklist.

>This course is designed to briefly touch upon several different leadership topics. If you need more information on a certain topic, you can find many of these covered in one or two day individual courses.

Performance Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course you should be able to:

  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence and self-regulation.
  • Explain the impact of psychological safety on leaders and teams.
  • Create an environment for your team that fosters teamwork and encourages innovation.
  • Manage stress, time and energy for yourself and your team.
  • Align your team around values, purpose, and vision.
  • Satisfy customers and drive results through feedback.
