5,000 expected at Capitol on June 10

The Department of Enterprise Services’ Capitol Security and Visitor Services has issued a permit for the 2018 Capital City Pride Festival on Sunday, June 10.

Festival organizers estimate that 5,000 people will attend the annual event, which could affect traffic and parking on Capitol Campus. The event includes a noon parade from the flag circle lawn near the Legislative Building to Heritage Park, where festival activities are scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m.

Enterprise Services manages the historic Capitol Campus in Olympia which includes four parks and Capitol Lake.
