The Art of Leading Teams provides you with the interpersonal and core skills essential to lead teams for strong engagement and results. You will learn the importance of self-awareness for leaders and gain a deeper ability to lead and manage teams effectively to achieve organizational goals.

The course explores the steps of team development and provides key insights for you to lead and empower teams to work together productively. You will learn important skills around building teams, conflict management, risk mitigation, and performance management. The goal is for you to learn these skills to better lead teams in achieving strategic business and tactical goals.

Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Identify the stages of team development.
  • Identify key conditions that are critical for team success and corrosive problems that can derail team unity.
  • Define the characteristics of an effective team.
  • Promote trust within a team.
  • Define methods to effectively address conflict within a team.
  • Discuss methods for measuring your team’s performance in relation to a strategic organizational goal.
  • Promote methods to mitigate risk within your team(s).
