Construction on West Campus to have traffic & pedestrian impacts on Thursday, June 7 and Friday, June 8

A telecom contractor is scheduled to work on West Capitol Campus on Thursday and Friday.

Traffic, pedestrian travel patterns and some parking stalls will be affected by the work, which is connected to LegTech’s Legislative Fiber Backbone Project.

Enterprise Services is providing logistics support for safety and traffic plans. There will be warning signs alerting drivers and pedestrians about the construction activity in the area. In some cases, flaggers will direct traffic.

Among the impacts:

  • A section of Pleasant Lane between the Executive Mansion and the Legislative Building will be closed. Traffic will be looped back onto Sid Snyder.
  • A small number of parking stalls on the eastside of Water Street and behind the O’Brien Building will be temporary closed during the work.

The work is scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. Thursday and 5 p.m. Friday.
