Work on retaining wall to close some visitor parking stalls in NRB Garage

On Monday, April 23, temporary barricades and caution tape will be installed on the west side of the Natural Resources Building Parking Garage, closing the visitor parking stalls along Washington St. so workers can complete waterproofing and pressure wash a retaining wall. The stalls will reopen in May.

Also in May, work to improve slippery surface conditions on the north end of level P-2 and the ramp that connects levels P-1 and P-2. Vehicles assigned to those stalls will be temporarily relocated to the visitor parking area. Watch for more information about this work as we get closer to the date.

In November, when the rainy season began, Enterprise Services received complaints that the recently replaced surface of the garage was slippery in some areas. In response, we closed the ramp that connects the two levels of the garage. Work to improve the surface conditions is scheduled to continue in May when dryer weather conditions are expected.
