OLYMPIA – The Department of Enterprise Services Capitol Security & Visitor Services (CSVS) has issued a permit for the 50th reunion of the 1968 Evergreen State Platoon on Thursday, July 12.

The event will begin at 2 p.m. with a gathering in the Capitol Rotunda. It will be followed by a brief ceremony at the Washington State Vietnam Veterans Memorial featuring a 3 p.m. rifle salute.

Organizers estimate that about 200 people will attend the event, which will honor participants in the 1968 United States Marine Corps’ swearing-in ceremony in the Rotunda.

Enterprise Services manages the historic Capitol Campus in Olympia which includes five parks and Capitol Lake.
