Partial 12th Avenue Southwest closure on June 6 for Temple of Justice work

For safety purposes, the Department of Enterprise Services will close part of 12th Avenue Southwest near the Temple of Justice building beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 6 while using a crane for work on the nearby Temple of Justice Building.

Scope & Impact: For safety purposes, the Department of Enterprise Services will close part of 12th Avenue Southwest near the Temple of Justice building beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 6 while using a crane for work on the nearby Temple of Justice Building.

Drivers should follow the marked detour route during the closure.

A large crane will be visible lifting equipment to the Temple of Justice roof.

Where: Section of 12th Avenue Southwest between Cherry Lane Southwest and Pleasant Lane Southwest.

When: 6 a.m. – 4 p.m., Tuesday, June 6.

Why: DES will be using a large crane to install equipment for the heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system on the roof of the Temple of Justice building. This work is part of the ongoing Temple of Justice Systems Renewal project to address aging building systems within the Temple of Justice.

All work is weather dependent. DES has contracted with UMC of Mukilteo, Washington for this effort.
