The City of Olympia has issued a permit for telecommunications work that will affect sidewalks along Capitol Way South between 11th and 16 Avenues beginning October 7.

Sidewalks will be closed while crews install new telecommunications lines. In addition, flaggers will be on site to direct vehicle traffic. There will be intermittent noise impacts associated with the work.

The Department of Enterprise Services worked with the city to ensure a tree protection plan is in place and to mitigate other potential landscaping impacts to the Capitol Campus.

The work, which is expected to take about three weeks, is weather dependent.
