Water main replacement and drain line redirection work begins this week on Southwest Capitol Campus

Work to replace a water main line on 15th Ave. between Capitol Way and Water Street SW begins Dec. 3 and will last until Jan. 11. The work will have a minimal impact on traffic and will create some noise during business hours.

Work to redirect the drain line will begin Dec. 6. 15th Ave (behind the O’Brien Building) will be closed at the construction site. Power to the building will be shut off Saturday, Dec. 8. Visitors and tenants can expect:

  • Some noise due to construction
  • Truck traffic
  • Pedestrian and traffic detours

The work is expected to be complete by Dec. 11.
