Performance Management in a Just Cause World
Navigating performance management issues in the public sector requires a clear understanding of the “just cause” principles. This course provides you with the tools needed to ensure corrective and/or disciplinary actions are properly and legally administered.
Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- Explain the “just cause” principles and properly apply them in performance management.
- Document performance management correctly.
- Set expectations based on policies and rules.
- Effectively plan and participate in performance management meetings with employees and third parties.
- Communicate positively when addressing issues to improve employee performance.
