Outdoor concert expected to draw 2,000 people to capitol on July 29

OLYMPIA — The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services’ Capitol Security and Visitor Services (CSVS) has issued a permit for the Olympia Symphony Orchestra’s 2018 Concert at the Capitol.

The event is scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, on the north lawn near Tivoli Fountain.

Organizers estimate that 2,000 people will attend the free concert, which could affect traffic and parking on the west Capitol Campus. A large tent for the event will be installed on Saturday, July 28, and removed on Monday, July 30.

In addition, the north and south parking diagonals will be closed during the event.
