This course discusses the basics of adult learning theory and assists you in designing more effective, engaging courses both online and in-person. Help your learners gain mastery of the subject with trainings that will stick with them beyond the course.

Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Understand the evolution of basic concepts regarding how adults learn.
  • Create clear formal and informal training goals.
  • Identify and create SMART learning objectives.
  • Select and organize the most useful and informative modules, topics, and activities for your class.
  • Determine the best evaluation method(s) and assessment tools for your training.
  • Design activities and materials that maximize understanding and engagement for participants with various learning styles.
  • Write detailed and reliable step-by-step scripts and storyboards for learning sessions.
  • Ensure participant engagement throughout your sessions by accommodating a variety of senses and adult thinking styles.
