Excel: Dynamic Excel Charts Made Easy

Course Code: 01-04-T945

Sometimes, a picture really does say a thousand words, or in the case of a Microsoft Excel chart, can convey what a thousand numbers can’t. Displaying data in a well-conceived chart can make your numbers more understandable, show relationships, and help to spot trends and patterns, all by providing at-a-glance views and easy-to-interpret visuals!

Plus, in this half-day course, you will learn how to provide your viewer with several ways to see data by adding interactivity to your charts. This can be done easily with “clickable” buttons on your charts driven by simple, safe recorded macros.

Performance Objectives: In this half-day course, you will:

  • Create, modify and format charts

  • Explore and change chart types—column, bar, line, pie, combo

  • Add, manipulate, and format chart elements

  • Learn about and record simple macros and attach them to interactive buttons on charts

  • Learn “best-practice” tips in presenting charts

Recommended Prerequisite: This class uses Microsoft Excel 2013 or Excel 2016.  Users should have a good understanding of Excel and basic experience.
