Do you use Microsoft Excel on a regular basis, but feel there must be some easier, more expedient ways to use this powerful application?

This class is set up to give insight on how to use the program in the most effective way possible. Excel has so many different options you will be surprised to find ways to do things in half the time! This class will cover:

  • Navigating and Selecting data within an Excel document
  • Taking advantage of Cell and Range Names
  • Utilizing Autofill and Flash Fill
  • Working with Dates in Excel
  • Sorting and Filtering
  • Exploring the Text to Columns tool
  • Using Subtotals
  • Applying Conditional Formatting
  • Adding Data Validation to cells

Performance Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course you should be able to:

  • Quickly navigate through and select large quantities of data
  • Use named ranges in navigation and building formulas
  • Use Autofill and Flash Fill for copying various kinds of data
  • Be aware of the many aspects of date formatting and input
  • Quickly and easily sort and filter multiple columns/rows of data
  • Format a worksheet using basic conditional formatting
  • Use three amazing tools from the Data Group in Excel: Text to Columns, Subtotals, and Data Validation

Prerequisite: You will need to have a good foundation of knowledge and experience with Excel 2010/2013/2016 in order to take advantage of this offering.
