A small section of sidewalk along Maple Park Avenue, near the south side of the Department of Transportation building, will be closed Oct. 8 through Oct. 11 for electrical repairs.

Department of Enterprise Services staff will cut through the sidewalk and dig a shallow trench for installing a new power line to a faulty street light fixture on Maple Park.

Barricades, signage and caution tape will re-direct foot traffic around the work site. There will be some noise during the concrete cutting, but this will be short in duration and should not impact tenants of the Transportation building or the South Capitol neighborhood.
