Training Boosters
We don’t expect you to remember every bit of information you learned in a training course. Three to six months after you complete a course, we will send you a short, optional exercise that helps you retain what you learned.
Training
State employees can only get credit for taking this training in the Washington State Learning Center.
We don’t expect you to remember every bit of information you learned in a training course. Three to six months after you complete a course, we will send you a short, optional exercise that helps you retain what you learned.
Boosters are:
- Short. They only take a minute to complete.
- Not required. We don't track if you complete it.
- Sent to the email address associated with your Learning Center account after you’ve completed certain courses.
- Not tied to your position. If you change jobs, they may still appear in your inbox.
How boosters help
We added boosters to our online training program based on their proven results. As time passes, our brains let go of information that we don’t use to make room for new information. This process is called the forgetting curve. Short, optional booster exercises help you retain information.
